A relaxing stay at the countryside in Rome...You reach Rome center (downtown) in 15 minutes by car or in 20 minutes by tube, from Montebello metro station. Train goes directly at Flaminio Station, 50 mts from PIAZZA DEL POPOLO, VIA DEL CORSO, PIAZZA DI SPAGNA, VILLA BORGHESE ETC.
Our cottage has 2-rooms, garden, fireplace, wooden beam ceiling, in a park Etruscan area (parco di Veio). One bedroom with big bed, the other bed for 2 (or 1) is in the dining room. Supplementary 5th bed available. WIFI. Italian breakfast on request. Price includes linen, sheets, final cleaning, gaz, water, electricity, air conditioned. Italian dinner or cold meal offered in case of late arrival. Relax under the bower in our garden and enjoy fresh air in summer... !

Summary: Our host was the sweetest, kindest women any of us had ever met. She provided us with food and wine in our first night and ice cream and melons on our last. She was willing to drive us to the metro early so we could catch a train to the airport. My only regret was not having a car to get into town. The metro was ~2km and many taxis and Ubers didn't want to come to our location so we unfortunately missed out on some of our plans in central Rome.

Summary: We loved staying in Monte Caminetto. It was easy for our adventures into Rome and around Lazio. Our host Emanuela was always available to help with advice and some treats of cheese or suppli we could not have been made more welcome. We even had dinner made for us on one occasion when when family visited, what a treat! The hotel a couple of minutes walk away does a good pizza and is really good value. All in all a really good summer holiday.

Summary: Wonderful little cottage not too far outside Rome. Very quite area and convenient by car to rail station for trip into Rome. Owner greeted us on arrival with delicious homemade aperitif and was very helpful. We really enjoyed our short stay and wished we had a longer time in Rome.

Summary: We are traveling through Italy with our Beagle and this home was perfect for us. Located about 45 minutes driving distance from the center of Rome, the house is equipped with everything needed for a nice stay in the capital. The house and garden are immaculately maintained. The owner is just lovely and we really appreciated her gifts of evening apertifs (Limoncello) and breakfast croissants and pastries left on several of the mornings. We drove, so did not access the public transportation but the train station is just a short walk down the hill. The family live on the property and it is completely enclosed for privacy. Highly recommended.

Summary: Villino Flaminio was really special - it took about 45 minutes to get to Piazza del Popolo from the house yet it had all the qualities you would expect from a beautiful countryside. Above all I found owners very friendly and helpful beyond my expectation. I truly enjoyed my stay at the cottage and would not hesitate a moment to recommend the place to anyone. Summary: "We returned from our stay at Villino Flaminio with so many special memories of our time spent in Sacrofano. Emanuela's personal touches transformed our experience from that of "tourist" to honored guest. From the moment I first corresponded with Emanuela, I knew that it was right to book our stay with her. She was prompt in answering emails, helpful with providing details, and friendly. This courteous attention did not change once we arrived in Rome. Emanuela went above and beyond what she was expected to do as renter. We truly felt like guests in her home as opposed to tourists. And through Emanuela, we were able to see the "real Italy." The "real Italy," like the "real anyplace," is composed of people rather than museums and monuments -- people who care about each other, and share the best of themselves. Emanuela shared so much of herself. Her cottage was lovely, comfortable, and the half-hour commute into Rome was easy, with good train and bus connections. And at night when we returned from a long day out, we enjoyed sitting around the fire with a glass of wine and simple dinner made from ingredients purchased at the local grocery just minutes away. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone wanting to experience Rome away from the crowds and confusion of the city."

Summary: "The area is beautiful and I'm glad we didn't stay in the city because it was far more relaxing in the country. The villa (which is small but extremely cozy) is attached to the owner's house, something we didn't understand prior to arriving, but ended up working to our benefit. Emanuela was an excellent host and extremely helpful even loaning us her car on a few occassions. The nearby market had great fresh food including produce and the metro was highly reliable for trips downtown. The weak link in transport is the buses, but Emanuela helped us figure out the bus schedule. We went downtown almost everyday for a relatively little cost. Great place for a small family or couple even if you're not familiar with Italy."

Summary: "We have had a wonderful stay in Sacrofano. Most remarkable was the boundless hospitality of our host Emanuela, who spoke excellent English and helped us with everything we needed. The cottage was very well kept, nice furniture (excellent beds!), clean, cosy and we were pleasantly surprised by a woodstack in the fireplace when coming home after a day in Rome. Add to this the excellent meal we were prepared upon arrival (and which we were not even allowed to pay for), the copious breakfast and you will understand that we can highly recommend this place to anyone. We very much hope to return ourselves!"
